Radio/Head Unit Installation

You choose the radio that you want installed and we will handle the rest.

LED Light Installation

We do install LED pods, bars, and other offroad or onroad lights. We can design custom 3D printed switch plates for the interior to personalize the installation and make it the most practical for you.

Trailer Connector/Light Installations

Installation of tail & brake lights and turn signals on trailers. As well as connectors going from the vehicle back to the trailer.

Aftermarket Gauge Installation

Installation of a variety of gauges (water temperature, oil pressure, boost pressure, transmission temperature, etc.) to help you monitor the health of your vehicle. We can make custom gauge pods for a variety of locations in your vehicle (vent mounted, in front of cluster, on top of dash, etc.)

Battery, Alternator, Lights (Headlights, Taillights, etc.) Testing and Replacement

Diagnosis of batteries, lights, and alternators in vehicles. If they are deemed to be bad then we can replace them for you at your discretion.

Overlander/Van Electrical

Installation of solar panels, inverters, receptacles, battery packs in your Overlander Rig or Van.

Custom Harnessing

We can make custom harnesses if there is nothing available from manufacturers that fits what you need.

Headlight Restorations

The process we follow for headlight restorations includes thoroughly cleaning the headlight lens, wet sanding, applying a layer of clear coat, and then re-sanding and polishing.

Engine Bay Cleaning

We can also do sensor safe engine bay cleanings. We protect any battery terminals/sensors in the engine bay and use a range of different brushes, vacuums, and compressors to keep your engine bay looking good.

Custom parts depending on what you need for your build. We will come over get measurements/scans and build something that best fits your needs.

- If you need a custom bracket for a light, or some other piece of equipment we can assist you in building one.

Methods

Splicing

Splices are all done using uninsulated crimp style connections and adhesive heat shrink or soldering and adhesive heat shrink depending on the area that the splice is in. In high heat/high vibration areas we use crimp style connections. In lower heat/lower vibration areas we use soldering to make good long-lasting electrical connections.

Fabrication

Mounts for lights and other equipment we can make with through steel and finished with primer and paint. Our current welding process is flux core. We can also 3D print custom bezels, switch plates, clamps, grommets, and more to make finish and fitment as OEM as possible. Our 3D modelling is done with the help of Autodesk Fusion 360 and our 3D printing is done with the help of a Bambu Labs P1S printer. Filament types that we use include ABS, ASA, PETG, and PLA. Our go to filament type for parts that require higher strength is ABS.

Diagnostics

If something is not working right after an installation we will return to help sort out the issue(s).

Protection

We use tesa tape in areas where our wiring is exposed to high heat environments. Traditional split loom or braided sleeving where deemed appropriate.

Our Process

We make the process as easily as possible for our customers. A consultation is first completed with the customer to address items of concern and the overall purpose of the installation. Any ordering of materials can be done by Goldfinch. For any projects with custom 3D prints/fabrication we need to book two days with you; One day to get scans/dimensions and another day for installation. On the day of installation we will show up with the tools to ensure the job gets handled with professionalism.

Pricing

There is a $65/hr labor rate on most of the services listed above. There is an additional 5% surcharge on any materials ordered by Goldfinch Electric. Contact us for more information.
